Rachel and I have been good friends for going on 15 years now, and until today I had very little idea of what her job actually looks like. She sat down with me to talk all about what it means to be an I/O psychologist and do assessment in the corporate world. Rachel is super humble, but she’s worked with CEO’s and high-level executives at big corporations all across the country. And she was generous enough to talk through her assessment process today with me. Here are a few things we get into:
- How does corporate assessment differ from clinical assessment?
- Can a clinical or counseling psychologist move into the corporate world?
- What assessment measures are most prominent in business settings?
- What does confidentiality look like in this environment?
