The issue of compensation models comes up ALL THE TIME in my consulting and mastermind groups. Should group practice owners pay a percentage? Flat hourly rate? Salary? I’ve talked about my thoughts on percentage vs. flat hourly rate, but we haven’t tackled salary options in detail. I find that practice owners are compelled to pay a salary for a variety of reasons, but oftentimes we don’t do the math to figure out if it’s financially viable. Let’s dig in!

About Dr. Jeremy Sharp
I’m a licensed psychologist and Clinical Director at the Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling, a private practice that I founded in 2009 and have grown to over 30 clinicians. I earned my undergraduate degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina before getting my Master’s and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University. These days, I specialize in psychological and neuropsychological evaluation with kids and adolescents.
