After FIVE YEARS of doing everything myself in private practice, I finally took the leap to start outsourcing some of the administrative tasks. Since then, the practice’s annual revenue has literally doubled. When we first start out in private practice, it’s really easy to take on everything because we don’t believe others could do the tasks as well, because we don’t have the money, or any number of other reasons. Once you figure out how to outsource, you will have more time to do the things that are really important to you (I’m assuming that verifying insurance benefits is NOT an integral part of living a fulfilling life for most folks). It can be a big leap to trust someone else, but trust ME – it’s definitely doable and highly beneficial. I’m talking today about the key areas when you think about how to outsource in a testing practice, including things like:
- Answering the phones
- Scheduling clients
- Verifying insurance benefits
- Actual testing
- Writing reports
