It was 2011, and I suddenly found myself with TEN TIMES the assessment referrals that I typically received in a month. I decided almost overnight that I needed to hire someone else, but I definitely made mistakes along the way. Today I’m talking all about how to grow your practice into a group testing practice with multiple clinicians. Growing as a testing practice is an integral step to scaling income and providing a valuable service to clients in your community, but there are considerations for hiring testing clinicians that go beyond a typical therapist hire. Even if you’re not thinking of hiring any clinicians, you can take away some good information about planning and anticipating the moment when you might need someone else. I cover things like:
- When do you know it’s time to expand?
- How do you choose between a psychometrician and a licensed clinician?
- My go-to interview questions for potential hires
- Necessary qualities for a testing clinician
- When do you bring on an office assistant or admin staff?

Oh my, Lauren, I just found this comment in the spam folder of the blog. Someone just recently commented on this problem as well. I’m looking into it and will post the full episode asap!
I know this is super old, but I’m listening through all the back episodes as a new subscriber. This episode cuts off at 19:35. I don’t know if there’s a correct, archived version or not, but it’s odd that this one just ends a little more than halfway through.
