About Dr. Dave Corey
Dave Corey is a licensed psychologist with more than 40 years of experience performing high-stakes civil forensic evaluations, and occupationally mandated evaluations of police and other public safety personnel. He is the founding president of the American Board of Police & Public Safety Psychology and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 18). He is board certified in both forensic psychology and in police and public safety psychology.
Dr. Corey’s practice consists primarily of performing, testifying, teaching, and researching about police officer suitability and fitness evaluations. He is licensed to practice psychology in Oregon, Hawaii, Washington, California, Utah, Arizona, and Ireland. With Dr. Yossef Ben-Porath, he is the co-author of the MMPI-2-RF (and MMPI-3) Police Candidate Interpretive Report (PCIR).
About Dr. Jeremy Sharp
I’m a licensed psychologist and Clinical Director at the Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling, a private practice that I founded in 2009 and grew to include nine licensed clinicians, three clinicians in training, and a full administrative staff. I earned my undergraduate degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina before getting my Master’s and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University. These days, I specialize in psychological and neuropsychological evaluation with kids and adolescents.
As the host of the Testing Psychologist Podcast, I provide private practice consulting for psychologists and other mental health professionals who want to start or grow psychological testing services in their practices. I was wondering if Dr. Corey would be willing to respond to emails? I have questions about the licensure and work process there, if he is open to that. This was a useful podcast and reminds me of why I cannot offer remote assessment as I work in a rural area. Clients often only have smart phones and data plans/internet connections are unreliable.
