For those of us who work with kids, coordinating with schools is a must. Zhanna Shekhtmeyster is an expert on school intervention, 504 plans, and special education support. She is here today talking with me about a wide variety of topics related to school-based intervention and how we, as private practitioners, can integrate with a child’s school. Here are just a few things we cover:

  • The different tiers of intervention in RTI/MTSS
  • How to navigate a 504 vs. an IEP
  • Accommodations students can receive without a formal “plan”
  • How to advocate for kids and help parents do the same

Great, Dana – you can subscribe in whatever podcast app you use (Apple podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, etc.). There should be a big button that says “subscribe” in the app. I’ll also add you to the Testing Psychologist email list so that you’ll get notifications of new episodes. Thanks for listening!

  1. Hello there,

I know that Zhanna Shekhtmeyster mentioned she would give a code to download her app. Where can we find this at?

Hi Kayla – sorry for the mix up here. I think Zhanna meant that she would give me a personal download code, not necessarily that all podcast listeners would get the app for free. Sorry about that!
